Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has called up midfielder Michael Folorunso, who is also eligible to play for the Super Eagles, for the upcoming friendly matches against Venezuela and Ecuador later this month.
The highly-rated midfielder who is on loan from Napoli to Hellas Verona in Serie A has been called up for the first time by Italy to reward his superb form lately.
He has scored four goals this season and one of his goals emerged as Serie A Goal of the Month for February 2024.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who was born to a Nigerian father in Rome, has played for Bari, Reggina and Hellas Verona (all in Italy).
