Hisbah Called Off Court-Ordered Wedding Between Idris Mai Wushirya And Basira Yar Guda

The wedding between popular TikTokers, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda has been cancelled by Kano state Hisbah board Hisbah Board to prevent a forceful and short-lived marriage after discovering that their alleged relationship was fabricated.

According to the Hisbah Deputy Commander, Sheikh Mujahideen Aminuddeen, investigations revealed that the duo only claimed to be in love to escape legal punishment from a magistrate’s court, which had charged them with producing “indecent” videos.

The court had earlier instructed the Hisbah Board to facilitate the wedding within 60 days or return the pair to court for possible conviction. However, Hisbah’s inquiry found that the proposed marriage was not genuine but a tactic to evade justice. They both admitted that their supposed relationship was merely for content creation, not based on real affection or intent to marry.

Consequently, the Hisbah Board cancelled the wedding to prevent what it described as a forceful and short-lived union.

The case will now be referred back to the court for appropriate legal action. Idris Mai Wushirya had previously told journalists that he presented pre-wedding photos in court to avoid imprisonment, confirming suspicions that the marriage claim was a ploy to avoid punishment.
