Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State said the State Government is intensifying security measures through sustained collaboration with the Police and other security agencies to address emerging threats, including cross-border and inter-state security concerns.
The Governor, stated this when he host the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, on a courtesy visit, assured residents of the state that security assessments in identified flash points, including areas placed under special security surveillance, are yielding progress, with operations ongoing to prevent escalation.
IGP Kayode Egbetokun said the Police is reviewing the security in the general area, adding that more Intelligence assets will be deployed to the area to halt further attacks.
