Founder Of Uoma Beauty, Sharon Chuter Died A 38, 6 Months Into Her Multiple Million Lawsuit

Six months into her multiple million dollars lawsuit after being kicked out of her own company, 38 year old Sharon Chuter the founder of Uoma Beauty died.

Sharon Chuter filed a lawsuit in February 2025 against MacArthur Beauty, BrainTrust, and Settle Funding, alleging that her company’s assets were sold without her knowledge to satisfy a loan, and that BrainTrust illegally pushed her out of her operational role.

The lawsuit and the sale occurred just months before Chuter’s untimely death in August 2025, and the sale of the company’s assets is still under legal dispute, with no settlement in place.
The lawsuit claims the company was sold far less than its $50 million valuation without her knowledge or consent.

She passed away on August 14 on a patio in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles medical examiner’s office. The cause of death is still being investigated.

The Nigerian-born beauty executive held roles at L’Oreal, Revlon and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton before founding Uoma in 2019.

Uoma went silent on social media from August 2023 through most of 2024, when it announced that it was “back” via an Instagram post in November. In February 2025, Chuter filed a lawsuit against The MacArthur Companies and Braintrust Fund
