Former Presidential Aids Calls on INEC To Adjust 2027 Election Timetable, Cited Ramadan Fasting

Former presidential media aide, to late former president Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad has reiterated the call for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to adjust the 2027 general election timetable, which currently falls during the Ramadan fasting period.

Meanwhile, he Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced Mohammed Kasim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the Gwagwalada Area Council chairmanship in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the results declared by the Returning Officer, the PDP candidate polled a total of 22,165 votes to defeat his challengers, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, who got a total of 17,788 votes.
