Drogba celebrates Ivory Coast’s last minute victory against Mali

Ivory Coast Legend, Didier Drogba yesterday enjoyed his country’s 2-1 win over Mali in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-finals, after the former Chelsea striker was seen singing the national anthem.

Ivory Coast secured a last-minute winner against Mali with an incredible late goal to send them through to the semi-finals where they will face DR Congo on Wednesday.

Drogba was in high spirits singing the national anthem on a plane.

He later wrote on his X account after the game, “I said that…..it was SPOILED.”

Drogba made over 60 appearances for Ivory Coast, captaining the national team from 2006 until his retirement.

Having spent eight years at Stamford Bridge from 2004–2012, Drogba is one of Chelsea’s most decorated players in history.
