According to her, marriage isn’t something women should aspire to do. She added that women should be the best you can be and that man will come- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie advises women
She said instead of marriage, women should aspire to develop themselves and the good man will come along. While speaking at an event in Abuja on Thursday, July 3, Adichie said
‘’Women are worthy simply because they married somebody or somebody wants to marry them. Young women, marriage is wonderful if you find the right person but it is not something you should aspire to. Aspire to making yourself learn more.
Aspire to being able to pay your own bills, have more self confidence for yourself. Don’t aspire to marriage. You cannot waste your life looking for a man to marry. Face your front. Be the best you can be and that man will come. That man will come but it should not be something you aspire to. Love yourselves please my dear sisters. Improve yourselves and the good man will come, I can tell you from experience’’
