In a strategic move to attract financial support and investments to revitalizing sports infrastructure across Osun, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund by The Osun State Government.
Davidi’s appointment was confirmed by Osun State Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi who also serves as the Commissioner for Sports, noted that Davido’s influence and global recognition would help draw significant attention and funding to the initiative.
He emphasized the state government’s commitment to the transformation of sports in Osun under Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Adequsi further revealed that the government is nearing completion of the ongoing renovation and rehabilitation of the Osogbo Township Stadium, which is being upgraded to Olympic standards.
He also announced plans to establish the Osun State Sports Commission, which will serve as the central body for sports administration, policy formulation, and overall development within the state.
