The family of the late Pa E.K. Clark has clarified that no individual or group has been authorized to approach the government or any organization to solicit support or make burial arrangements on their behalf. In a statement signed by Mr. Panaowei Clark, Chief Ebikeme Clark, and Miss Emomotimi Clark, the family emphasized that any such arrangements must directly involve them.
They expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences received from sympathizers, government officials, and socio-cultural organizations, including the Ijaw National Congress, Pan Niger-Delta Forum, Afenifere, Arewa, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, and the Middle Belt Forum. Acknowledging that their late father was a national figure, they recognized the need for careful coordination with relevant stakeholders in planning his burial.
The family urged the public to disregard any unauthorized individuals claiming to represent them in discussions about the burial. They reassured well-wishers that an official announcement on the burial date and program would be made in due course. While appreciating the continued support, they called for patience, cooperation, and respect for their role in organizing the final rites of their patriarch.
