Air Sierra Leone has resumed flight operations between Lagos and Freetown after over 15 years of inactivity, partnering with Nigerian airline XEJet for technical support and aircraft provision.

The airline will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with plans to expand based on passenger demand.
At the inaugural flight ceremony in Lagos, Air Sierra Leone’s General Manager, Edgard Lacle, emphasized the strong trade and tourism ties between the two countries.
The first flight carried 36 passengers. XEJet CEO, Iza Emmanuel, described the airline’s return as a symbol of hope and progress for Sierra Leone, highlighting the strong bilateral ties between both nations.
