THERE IS A PROBABILITY IN DISSOLVING THE MOZAMBIQUE VS NIGERIA FRIENDLY MATCH PLAYERS DEMAND MORE PAY

The international friendly match between Mozambique and Nigeria may not be played.

The match could be nullified due to a dispute between Mozambican players and the country’s Football Federation over their pay.

It is understood that players are demanding a raise of $600 each

They have threatened not to play the international friendly scheduled for Monday at the Albufeira Municipal Stadium, Portugal.

The players are paid $600 each for friendly matches which they got after their game against Angola on Friday, October 13.

This does not include bonuses for friendly matches but just for  pocket money.

RM Desporto reports that the Mozambican national are making extra demands and their coach, Chiquinho Conde, has not been able to prepare his squad for the friendly.

The players had refused to train both on Saturday and Sunday, demanding a raise of $600 each.

A statement from the  Mozambican Football Federation on Sunday said, ”It was taken by surprise with a demand from the players, for the FMF to make an additional payment of bonuses/pocket money from the aforementioned training camp, this being a precondition for the team to carry out the following training sessions, as well as the preparatory game against Nigeria scheduled for October 16th, at the Albufeira Municipal Stadium”.

Feizal Sidat, the Federation boss, said they may decide to cancel the remaining period of the training camp in Portugal.
