A Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Company Limited, has stated that the company was compelled it to seek the seizure of Nigerian assets overseas following a trail of mistreatment and harassment by Ogun state government officials and the police over a failed contract.

Zhongshan claimed that its officials in Nigeria were unlawfully detained and brutalized by the police during a contractual dispute with the Ogun State Government.
In a statement, Zhongshan stated that it lost $1.078 billion following the contract termination and sought compensation through arbitration which the State Government failed to honour the ruling, leading the company to seek the intervention of a French court and the court ordered the seizure of three presidential jets.
The statement stated that, Zhongfu Nigeria’s management officials were forced to leave Nigeria for safety after several attempts to take preventive legal steps in the Nigerian courts, but the Ogun State Government, NEPZA, and the police orchestrated the complete taken of Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Company Limited’s investment in Nigeria.
The seized presidential jets are, a Dassault Falcon 7X, a Boeing 737, and an Airbus 330.
