First Lady Remi Tinubu announces the endowment fund of N50 million

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has made an announcement on Monday regarding a generous endowment fund of N50 million. This fund will be specifically awarded to recognize the outstanding achievement of the top-performing law student at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, located in Kano.

Mrs. Tinubu delivered the announcement during the official opening of the university’s School of Law Building, which was graciously named in her honor by the university’s management.

The building was unveiled by the first lady, who shared her contentment with the well-equipped facilities and expressed gratitude towards the University’s founder, Prof. Adamu Gwarzo, for naming the School building after her.

“I am delighted for being honoured at this occasion and I am not taking it for granted as I will continue to support the youths because education is the key to freedom, ” she said.

Mrs. Tinubu recalls her experience of completing her one year obligatory National Youth Service in the state of Kano and residing in the well-known Sabon Gari community within the historic city.
