Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has appointed Ali Bello, a nephew to the former Governor, Yahaya Bello as his Chief of Staff.
Before his appointment, Ali Bello was accused by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of fraudulently withdrawing over N10 billion from the Kogi State treasury, which they allegedly delivered to a bureau de change operator, Rabiu Tafada, in Abuja, to keep or change to foreign currencies for personal gains.
His appointment was announced Immediately Ahmed Usman Ododo was sworn in as the fifth democratically elected Governor of the State.
