Sources from within the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC confirmed that N34 billion has so far have been traced and blocked in 6 different banks in the name of Halima Shehu, the suspended CEO Of The National Social Investment Programme Agency and her relations.
Last week, Halima Shehu was suspended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to have allegedly removed 44 Billion naira from the government account under 5 days ordered an Investigation in the affairs of Agency.
Halima Shehu who ciamed she removed the money in error has stated that she moved the N30 billion she is accused of embezzling to other accounts because Minister Betta Edu wanted to embezzle everything. She stated that Betta has already misappropriated 3 billion in one month.
