The former minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq has arrived office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the Commission’s invitation over an ongoing investigation into the over N37 billion allegedly laundered during her tenure in office as minister through a contractor James Okwete.
Sadiya Umar- Farouq who tweeted about her arrival at about 10 am to announced her presence at the EFCC headquarters on Monday.
“I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating.”
