Simon Bako Lalong has been sworn in as Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial zone of Plateau state following his
resignation as the minister of Labour and Employment to enable him take his seat at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Lalong took over after legal processes with rhe candidate of the PDP, Napoleon Bali and the Court of Appeal declared him as the duly elected Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue him the Certificate of Return.
Simon Bako Lalong was the immediate former governor of Plateau State and also a former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
