President Tinubu commissioned Range Of Strategic Projects Undertaken By Governor Fintiri

It was a historic moment in Yola as Governor Fintiri hosted the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was in the state to inaugurate projects spanning education, road infrastructure, and the judiciary, underscoring the administration’s commitment to inclusive development.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu described major capital projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as landmark developments thoughtfully designed to serve both present and future generations in line with global standards.

The President stated this on Monday, February 16, 2026, during a one-day working visit to Adamawa State, where he commissioned a range of strategic projects undertaken by the Fintiri administration.

President Tinubu’s first port of call was the commissioning of the Yola North Model Secondary School, one of several model schools constructed across the state’s 21 local government areas to raise educational standards and expand access to quality learning.

He subsequently inaugurated the Bekaji Underpass, the expanded Galadima Aminu Way, the ultra-modern High Court Complex, and the newly constructed Governor’s Office at the Government House, Yola.

Speaking after the commissioning ceremonies, the President expressed appreciation to the government and people of Adamawa State for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. He commended Governor Fintiri for what he described as bold and visionary developmental strides, noting that the projects constitute enduring legacy investments capable of transforming the state’s socio-economic landscape.

In his remarks, Governor Fintiri thanked the President for honouring the state with his visit and for the Federal Government’s continued support. He disclosed that the construction of model secondary schools across the 21 local government areas cost over ₦24 billion, while the Bekaji Underpass and the expansion of Galadima Aminu Way were executed at a cost exceeding ₦15 billion, alongside other completed projects.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustained infrastructural development across Adamawa State and pledged continued support for the Tinubu-led Federal Government.

The event drew an array of distinguished personalities, including governors from the North-East, their Plateau State counterpart, and revered traditional rulers from across the state, marking the occasion as a significant milestone in Adamawa’s development journey.
