Governor Reaffirms  Mohammed Bauchi State’s Commitment To Corps Members Welfare

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to the welfare and comfort of corps members serving in the state. Speaking through the Head of Civil Service, Mohammed Umar, during the swearing-in of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members, the governor emphasized the government’s resolve to support the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. He highlighted completed projects such as the renovation of hostels and the construction of a new multipurpose hall, with additional infrastructure like staff accommodations and a clinic set to follow in the next phase.

Governor Mohammed urged corps members to embrace their national assignment with seriousness, urging them to be champions of national unity and development. He assured them of continued governmental support within available resources throughout their orientation and service period. The state aims to partner with the NYSC in all ways possible to ensure the scheme’s continued success and impact within Bauchi.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Umoren Kufre, expressed deep appreciation for the state government’s ongoing commitment, describing the infrastructure improvements as a true reflection of the governor’s love and support for youths. He also reminded corps members of the structured and disciplined nature of camp life, urging them to comply with NYSC rules and schedules. A total of 1,107 corps members—608 males and 499 females—had already been registered for orientation, out of the 1,700 posted to the state.
