Minister of Works, David Umahi, took a veiled jab at the Labour Party and its supporters during a Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja, referring to them as “disobedient” while commending his colleagues and President Bola Tinubu.

The comment appeared to target followers of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, commonly referred to as the “Obidients.” Umahi emphasized his alignment with discipline and appreciation for teamwork within his ministry.
During his presentation, Umahi praised President Tinubu for initiating the long-envisioned Sokoto-Badagry road project, originally conceptualized under the Shehu Shagari administration 47 years ago. He lauded Tinubu as a courageous and visionary leader and expressed admiration for his performance since taking office in May 2023.
