Veteran musician Eedris Abdulkareem has called on Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to bring the suffering of Nigerians to his father’s attention. In his new song “Tell Your Papa,” Abdulkareem responds to Seyi’s controversial claim that his father is Nigeria’s greatest president, which sparked public outrage.
Abdulkareem emphasizes the widespread economic hardship and insecurity that ordinary Nigerians are enduring, including rampant kidnappings and a deteriorating standard of living. The veteran artist criticizes Seyi for being out of touch with the struggles of the common people, particularly as he enjoys a life of privilege, flying in private jets while many Nigerians face dangerous road conditions. Abdulkareem urges Seyi to take a step back from his comfort and understand the reality of those living in fear and poverty across the country.
