Hamas has firmly opposed US President Donald Trump’s proposal to move Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, calling it an “aggressive scheme” that undermines Palestinian rights and seeks to uproot its people.
In a statement on Monday, the group emphasized that Palestinians, despite enduring conflict and displacement, remain steadfast in their commitment to their homeland. “The Palestinian people will never accept any plan aimed at their displacement.”
Hamas also urged the US to cease its support for Israeli policies, which it claims violate Palestinian rights, and called on Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab and Islamic nations to reject the plan. The group appealed for their assistance in rebuilding Gaza and supporting Palestinians’ right to stay on their land.
