Dr. Kingsley Moghalu, President of the African School of Governance, has criticized Africa’s reliance on Western economic models, arguing that they lack philosophical depth and fail to address the continent’s unique realities.

Speaking on Leadership in Africa, he stressed the need for ethical and philosophical foundations in economic management to ensure sustainable development.
Moghalu highlighted the challenge of reconciling modern governance with deep-rooted traditional practices, which he believes contributes to ineffective leadership.
He called for integrating ethical leadership into education and governance to combat corruption and promote accountability. Additionally, he advocated for the advisory role of traditional rulers while opposing their political appointments.
