Two factory workers in the Ikosi area of Lagos lost their lives after falling into a diesel fuel reservoir while carrying out repairs. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), one worker accidentally fell into the reservoir, and the second fell while attempting to rescue him.
Emergency responders from LASEMA and the Lagos Fire Service managed to retrieve the victims and transported them to the hospital for medical attention.
Despite resuscitation efforts, both men were later confirmed dead. The tragedy has raised concerns about workplace safety measures in industrial settings.
