In addition to Iyanya’s defense, the jeweler allegedly linked to the incident publicly denied that any theft had occurred. This denial further discredited the story and suggested that it was merely gossip spread without evidence.
Ubi Franklin himself also released a statement on his X handle, describing the rumors as both false and misleading. He clarified that the luxury watch dealer, identified as Benny, had already debunked the claims earlier in the day, reinforcing his innocence and dismissing the allegations entirely.
